5 Call Firefighters assisted in a Mass Casualty Drill at Six Flags. Call Firefighters Matt Niles and Todd Kelley simulate removing a victim. Lt. Nicora at the command post (2nd from right). _________________________________________________________ The Call Firefighters responded to this working fire in the Feeding Hills section of town with Engine 4 and Squad 5. _________________________________________________________ The Call Force responded to a working fire on the 2nd alarm with Engine 4 and Squad 5. Call Lieutenant Mike Nicora (in doorway) helps stretch a backup line. _________________________________________________________ Mass Casualty Decontamination Unit Training at AFD Call Firefighters Lt. Mike Nicora and Pvt. Todd Kelley participated in the MDU drill at station 1. ________________________________________________________ The racks are almost empty! On Wednesday April 2nd the call firefighters were toned out at 4am for a possible garage fire. First on scene career Lt. Al Sirois reported heavy smoke and fire. Act. Deputy Chief Mike Mercadante requested Squad 5 to the scene. Engine 4 (call staffed) cleared from a first responder medical call and also responded to the fire scene. In total 7 call firefighters responded to the fire scene and 2 call firefighters manned fire dispatch. ________________________________________________________ The Call Firefighter Association has purchased new helmet shields. The new shields now make all call helmets uniform. March 5th was drill night. The call firefighters used the Agawam Emergency Management office to go over SOG's, accountability, size up and future training plans. ________________________________________________________
