The Agawam Call Firefighters Association is a members of the Massachusetts Call/Volunteer Firefighters Association.

AUGUST DRILL TOPIC WAS SAWS. CAREER LT. BJ CALVI TOOK TIME OUT OF HIS BUSY DAY TO GO OVER SOME OF THE SAWS USED BY THE AFD.

New Call Firefighters Justin Rainville and Jim Ricco drill on Air Packs.

On Sunday November 8th the Call Firefighters took advantage of a vacant house offered to the town by a local business. The Call Firefighters drilled on wall breaching, forcible entry, pulling ceilings, search and rescue and venting. 

The Agawam Fire Department responded to a report of a fire in town.

Deputy Chief Sirois requested the “First Alarm—Additional Companies” response to the scene.

Engine 3 with 3 call firefighters and Squad 5 with 2 call firefighters responded to the scene.

Engine 3’s crew was put to work doing a primary search of the building. 

The drill in January consisted of  “donning” air packs and follow the hose drill. Some unique obstacles were used including a wall breach simulator, and old typewriter stand and the training vehicle. 

Februarys Drill was on Mayday procedures and Search and Rescue.
